High Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, PhD, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), attended a significant spiritual ceremony at the Aziza Father Igologolo Temple in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State, on September 12, 2024.

Otuaro joined High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and spiritual head of the Ijaw people, in the revered Aziza Forest. The gathering highlighted the importance of cultural preservation and the Ijaw people’s rich spiritual heritage.

As a proud traditionalist, Otuaro emphasised the value of embracing cultural traditions, stating that true progress begins with respect for one’s past. His attendance underscored the Ijaw people’s strong connection to their traditional ways of life.

During the ceremony, Otuaro prayed for Nigeria’s unity and peace, particularly in the Niger Delta region. He reassured the community of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to his Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasising the government’s priority on the region’s development and well-being.

This convergence of leaders dedicated to preserving Ijaw traditions while addressing regional challenges marked a significant cultural and spiritual milestone.
