Wike, Not Melaye That Deserves Suspension -N’Delta Political Analyst, Ozobo
By Peters Monday, Abuja
A renowned Niger Delta rights activist and political analyst, Comrade Ozobo Austin has thundered that it was FCT minister, Wike Nyesom that deserved suspension and not Senator Dino Melaye who is until now very committed to the cause of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Ozobo, a leading voice in Niger Delta region has said that PDP national working committee has turned a mole in the hand of Wike Nyesom, adding that any attempt to suspend Dino Melaye without Wike’s suspension would bring to end of PDP existence.
According to him, Wike anti-party activities are grounds to suspend him, his actions are obvious and glaring that he wanted to collapse PDP for his new found-friend party, APC.
However, the recent call for Senator Dino Melaye’s suspension has sparked controversy, but it’s FCT Minister Wike Nyesom who truly deserves disciplinary action, according to Ozobo. “Wike’s recent outbursts and actions have raised questions about his loyalty and commitment to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“Wike’s behavior has been increasingly erratic, from daring PDP governors and leaders to accuse him of being a mole to revealing sensitive information about his interactions with other party members. His admission that Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki begged him to support his preferred successor, only to be rebuffed, raises concerns about his ability to work collaboratively with other party leaders.
Furthermore, Wike’s statement about his cousin, the Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner, has sparked concerns about potential bias and influence in the electoral process.
In contrast, Senator Dino Melaye has been a vocal advocate for the PDP and has worked tirelessly to promote the party’s interests. His suspension would be unfair and unjustified.
“It’s time for the PDP to take action and hold Wike Nyesom accountable for his actions. His suspension would be a step towards restoring unity and discipline within the party”, he added.
