Alaowei appreciates leaders, stakeholders, well-wishers for turning up en mass in mother’s funeral rites

Niger Delta human rights activist, Barr. Alaowei Cleric wholeheartedly thanked and appreciated leaders, stakeholders and well-meaning Ijaw Sons and Daughters in the Diaspora for their support and turning up en mass for the funeral service of his beloved mother, Mama Rachel Alaowei (nee Okodomufa) on Friday.

 

In a press release on his website on Saturday, Alaowei said, “From the bowel of my heart I appreciate the efforts of leaders, stakeholders all well-wishers, sympathizers and people that supported me financially and also used their precious time to grace the occasion, God will bless you!”

 

Alaowei further prayed for God’s divine guidance and protection upon these patriotic Ijaw Sons and Daughters who sacrificed their valued times, energies and resources to grace the funeral service.

 

The statement reads, “In no special order, a glorious thanks to His Excellency, Deacon Kingsley B. Otuaro, the immediate past Deputy Governor of Delta State; Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, Senior Policy Adviser to the Governor of Delta State; High Chief Kestin Pondi, Managing Director, Tantita Security Services Limited; Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, Member, representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives; Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor; Larry Selekeowei SAN; Dr. Braduce Angozi, former Commissioner, Delta State Executive Council; Amb. According to the lawyer, he said, “I can’t appreciate these men of great repute enough. It’s only God in heaven that can order your footsteps.

 

“On behalf of the children of late Mama Rachel Alaowei and the entire family, we thank you all for your clemency. God bless you all in return. Thank you very much for all your efforts,” he added.
