Boro throws weight behind IPF, promises to grace inauguration Feb 29

Ahead of the inauguration of the newly elected executive of the Ijaw Publishers Forum, IPF, the Chairman, of the Waterways and Inland Security Committee of Delta State, Chief Boro Opudu has thrown his weight behind the media professionals, assuring them of his presence in the inauguration ceremony on February 29, 2024.
Opudu commended the body of media executives for fostering Ijaw unity and development when they paid him a courtesy call at his office in Warri, on Thursday.
The IPF delegation led by its President hailed Opudu’s input towards maintaining law and order in Delta state over the years.
The multiple award-winning activist, Ozobo added that the efforts of the likes of Opudu had contributed greatly to the peace and development experience across the state.
The Publisher of Congress Newspaper further explained that the need for the IPF to collaborate with state actors such as Opudu cannot be over-emphasised, adding that the body would continue to open its doors for effective collaborations.
Responding, the security expert described the IPF’s move to unite all media practitioners across the Ijaw nation towards achieving a collective goal as “commendable.”
“We are open to working with the IPF. My Committee is a sensitive one and needs all positive forms of collaboration for effective service delivery,” Opudu added.
“We will assist you with every necessary support towards ensuring that the goals and objectives of this intellectual body are fulfilled,” he noted.
He further gave assurance of participating in the forthcoming inauguration ceremony of the group slated for Thursday, February 29, 2024.
