Commissioner Suspended For Illegal Affairs With Married Woman

The State Commissioner For Special Duties, Auwalu Sankara has been immediately suspended by Jigawa State Government with alleged ‘illicit affair’ with a married woman in an uncompleted building

Meanwhile, Malam Umar A. Namadi, who signed the immediate withdrawal of the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Special Duties and member of the State Executive Council with pending accusation made by the Kano State Hisbah.

However, the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Bala Ibrahim also disclosed on Saturday that the decision was informed by a need for complete investigation into the allegation, to ensure fairness and uphold the tenets of the state administrative etiquette.

The Secretary also stressed that the Governor is committed to transparency and fidelity to ethical standards in governance.

“The suspension is a preventive measure to caution and strengthen fair investigation.

“We take all allegations seriously and are devoted to maintain the trust of Jigawa citizens,” he added.
