Inspector General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, has revealed that a chance meeting with President Bola Tinubu in 1998 had a profound impact on his life and career. Speaking at the launch of a book in his honor, “Readings in Policing, Peace, and Security,” Egbetokun expressed gratitude for the recognition and attributed his success to God’s mercy.
He shared that his encounter with Tinubu led to a transformative experience within 24 hours, which he described as a significant testimony. Although he chose not to elaborate on the details, he acknowledged Tinubu’s influence on his life and career.
Egbetokun also highlighted the book’s potential to inspire and serve as a reference material for young law enforcement officers in Nigeria, fostering a new generation of policing professionals.
