The Nigerian Army has stated its commitment to preserving the country’s democracy and opposing any form of unconstitutional change of government. This statement comes after recent protests and calls for a change in government.

The Army has also highlighted its recent achievements in combating terrorism and insecurity, including neutralizing 108 terrorists, arresting 204 suspects, and rescuing 214 kidnapped hostages.

Congress learnt that the army discovered and deactivated 76 illegal refining sites and denied oil theft worth N1.34 billion. The Army has reassured that it will continue to work towards ensuring the stability of the nation and addressing issues of poverty and hardship.
