Civil society organizations (CSOs) under the Patriotic Nigeria Youth Forum staged a solidarity march in Abuja, calling on the organizers of the planned nationwide protests to reveal their identities and clarify their grievances against the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration.

The group, led by Comrade Olamide Odumosu, argued that the planned protest is an invitation to chaos and anarchy, and that those behind it should take a cue from President Tinubu, who did not hide his identity while pushing for democratic rule and good governance.

The CSOs warned that the protests could lead to looting, arson, and other forms of violence, and questioned why opposition figures who endorsed the protests were not willing to participate.

They expressed support for President Tinubu’s initiatives to address the needs of citizens, including the removal of bans and import duties on food items, and the introduction of credit facilities to help citizens.

The group urged citizens to articulate their issues and forward them to the government, rather than resorting to protests that could destabilize the country.
