Foremost Niger Delta rights activist and president of Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI, Comrade Ozobo Austin has expressed gratitude to Senator James Manager, Barr Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, and Dr Braduce Amakazi Angozi for making total commitments to the Ijaw governorship agenda in Delta State.

This was disclosed to newsmen in a press statement by himself on Friday morning.

Ozobo said the trio had done well by extending, propagating and expanding the Ijaw quest for the governorship of Delta state, adding they fought a good fight regardless of the outcome of the PDP primary in the state on Wednesday.

“I am glad that they succeeded in re-echoing the position of Ijaw people in Delta state. The trio’s coming out to contest has reawakened the consciousness of Ijaw youths, and the Ijaw nation by extension of the need of being steadfast in approaching that which is a key value to us.

“Ijaw must move forward despite the pocket challenges of betrayal and infiltration of our values by foreigners. Ijaw means truth, and what the trio have demonstrated, is a replica of what truly Ijaw means.

“I strongly congratulate them for making Ijaw proud. l love their boldness and strong commitments. We did not achieve our dream because there was a sharp division among us. We were not defeated and we never lost. Manager, Otuaro, and Braduce are heroes of our time,” he added.
