A plaintiff, Mr Paul Tusemone, in a suit no CA/AS/63/2020 involving a portion of land at NPA Warri waterside has called on the Inspector-General of Police and Delta state commissioner of police, CP Ari Muhammad Ali to prevail on Warri Business mogul Chief Tunde Smooth on attempt to erect a fence on a portion of land he had already lost at the appeal court sitting in Asaba, Delta state this week.

He also insinuated a plan to unlawfully intimidate and arrest him using the police as cover.

The plaintiff Tusemone said the appeal court decided the case in his favour and the respondent was asked to pay him cost of five hundred thousand naira ( N500.000) for inconveniences.

He said the court while giving its lead judgement, warned the respondent applicant to steer clear from the particular portion of land.

According to the litigant, any attempt to intimidate him is tantamount to contempt of court, and the law would take it course.

He said, “There is also a move by the respondent applicant to vindictively erect a huge illegal fence on the portion of land he has already lost in the Appeal Court at Asaba.

“Attempt at erecting a fence to massage a legally wounded pride is a signal of contempt of court. The relevant authorities should watch out for this brazen attempt at taking law into one’s hand”.
