NAF Vows to Eradicate Bandits From North-West Wing

The Chief of Air Staff, Hasan Abubakar, has revealed plans to deploy a Quick Response Wing to the Northwest region of the country to facilitate military presence in bandits prone areas, adding that the troops will be on standby to respond to emergencies in the state.

 

A statement made by the Deputy Director of Public Relations information officer for the Nigerian Air Force, Group Captain Kabiru Ali on Tuesday, made this known to the public during an operational tour of the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI and the 213 Forward Operating Base in Katsina State, Abubaka said.

 

“He also disclosed that “The NAF has advanced airstrikes against criminal elements in the North-West and is working seriously to deploy a Quick Response Wing to facilitate military presence in vulnerable communities.

 

He also emphasized the need for all inclusive strategy and diplomacy to achieve sustainable peace, stressing that kinetic actions alone cannot end insurgency.”

 

 

He said, “The CAS highlighted the significant progress made in securing the State, adding that the recent planting season was free from bandits interference, an attribute of the Governor’s robust security consciousness.

 

 

Chief of Air Staff also assured Governor Radda that the NAF as been consistent in supporting and protecting farmers and will do same in the forthcoming harvest season, noting the imperativeness of safety in agriculture to the Katsina State economy.”

 

Meanwhile, the Governor assured farmers that there would increased military presence in high-risk communities and would ensure a safe atmosphere for the next harvest season.

 

He commended the NAF’s “commitment for strengthen security in the region and pledged continuous rapport with the military to safeguard the security and livelihoods of the people.

 

The governor also expressed hope that the planned farmer’s protection operations and burst military presence in bandits prone areas and would enhance a more secured environment for the upcoming harvest season.
